Being a woman of color I know the disparities we face during childbirth. I wanted someone that looked like me and my family to represent and be my advocate so I can focus on baby! It was also important that I found someone that meshed well with my husband. She made sure he was included, listened to, and reminded him she wasn’t his replacement.
