About Me

Hi, I’m Constance. In my human incarnation, I am an introverted book nerd born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles.

My journey with yoga began as a child while reading an old book on Āyurveda. I learned how observing nature and abiding by its rhythm can contribute to a healthy, balanced life.

I took this sacred knowledge with me as I began to dive deeper into yogic philosophy and spiritual development.

Years of consistent practice led to my first yoga teacher’s training at Santa Monica Power Yoga in 2013. From there I’ve completed trainings in pregnancy yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, Āyurveda, birth work, and more.

I am thankful for my ancestors and healers who came before me. Deepest gratitude to my teachers along the way. Leslie Porter, Dan Ward, Juliette Kurth, David Kim, Latham Thomas, Erin Casperson, Jeanne Heileman, Jenna Furnari, and Jillian Pransky. I am forever indebted.

Now, who am I outside of teaching? I’m a lover of bike rides down the coast, binging Golden Girls & Moesha, cozy Sunday evenings, and books that transport me to other realms. My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw and I’m currently learning watercolor painting. :)

In Vedic Astrology I am a Virgo Sun, Cancer Moon, and Scorpio Ascendant. My prakruti is Pitta-Kapha and my personality type is INFP.

I’m an auntie of eight + my countless doula babies. My friends are more like family and I cherish every moment I have with them. In 2015, I married my best friend who makes me laugh, challenges me, and supports me like no other. We enjoy cooking together, traveling, and cozying up on the couch for movie night.

In high-school, I was the weird, witchy girl who read Tarot cards and always had a book in hand. My spare time was spent in the library reading novels and writing love poems to my crushes. I wore black converse and chipped black nail polish while blasting Blink-182 (pop-punk forever!) and India.Arie on my CD player. Not much has changed! I’m still the weirdo that my inner child is eternally proud of.
